A graduate of mechanical engineering at Oregon State, Larry is one of the founding principals of B/TEC. Vice president of the company since 1998, he became president in 2014. He has over 25 years of experience in structural engineering, including particular expertise in vibration analysis for machinery foundation design.
He holds professional engineering licenses in over fifteen U.S. states, as well as British Columbia, Canada.
Fun Fact: Larry spent his early professional years working at a nuclear testing facility in Nevada where he ran ground-monitoring equipment through 10-foot diameter bore holes up to 3000 feet deep.
Chris graduated from University of Maine with a BS and MS before relocating to Portland, Oregon in the late 1990s. He spent over ten years working with architects on commercial projects up and down the west coast, and has over 16 years of structural engineering experience. He came onboard at B/TEC in 2011 and became vice president in 2015.
Chris is a licensed professional engineer in Oregon, Washington, South Carolina and Arkansas, and is also licensed as a structural engineer in Oregon and Washington.
Fun Fact: Chris was a civilian contract employee for the U.S. Department of Defense in the early 1990s. There he was on a team that designed and fabricated prototypes of tents for the Army.
